Frosty Friends Make Winter Warm
Between now and January 20th, the Pine Hill CSA seeks donations to help raise $15,000 to ensure ongoing program support.
|
These funds go directly to our entire school community, reaching every grade, every teacher, and every student. With your donation the CSA is able to provide engaging grade-level enrichment programs, such as our nature-based Broadmoor program, author and illustrator visits, historical reenactments, cultural and musical performances, and hands-on science activities from the Discovery Museum, Ecotarium, and Museum of Science, just to name a few. Your generosity also helps support the new and exciting Outdoor Classroom & Garden Project and brings fun and unique performances to All School Meeting! Your donation will directly support the amazing faculty and administrators who do so much for our school. Every teacher receives a parent-funded stipend at the start of the school year, and has the opportunity to apply for further funding in the spring. The CSA also arranges special teacher luncheons and breakfasts throughout the school year on behalf of all families. We also send thanks to our custodians, bus drivers and nurses with appreciation gifts during the year. All made possible with your support! Your contribution also sponsors fun family activities including the year-beginning Ice Cream Social, New Family meet-ups, Family Friends Events (Metco), and exciting social events for the kids such as Monster Mash in the fall. Checks may be made payable to CSA and mailed to Pine Hill CSA, P.O. Box 51, Sherborn, MA 01770. Employer gift matching is encouraged! On behalf of the CSA, we thank you for your generosity and support.

Climate Action and Resilience Plan SurveyThe Town of Sherborn started developing a Climate Action and Resilience Plan to prepare the community for the effects of climate change. On behalf of Sherborn's Sustainability Department, I would like to invite you to fill out this survey for weighing in with your ideas, concerns, and priorities for this collectively developed action plan: https://bit.ly/sherbornCARP. Complete the survey by Friday, December 16. By partaking in this survey, you will have the opportunity to help identify 10-15 priority actions for reducing GHG emissions and vulnerabilities concerning Sherborn’s unique ecological resources, in specific the town's affected tree canopy, and deteriorating ground and surface water quality. It's time to come together to shape the future of our kids! Participants will be entered into a raffle for a $100 gift certificate for fine dining at Heritage! Yours, Kristen Aberle (Sherborn School Committee, Sustainability Liaison) Note: Survey logo above designed by Lilly Caplan, class of 2024
